Effective date: September 24, 2026. Written for the Noreli fruit pantry app on iPhone.
This Privacy Policy explains how Noreli handles information when you track fruit ripeness, pantry stock,
voice notes, and harvest reminders on your iPhone.
Short version: Noreli keeps pantry data on your iPhone. Fruit photos, voice notes, and ripeness
calculations run locally for the features you use. You can use the pantry without creating a Noreli cloud account.
1. Who this policy covers
“You” means a person using Noreli. “We” / “Noreli publisher” means the developer distributing Noreli through
the Apple App Store. This policy is specific to Noreli’s orchard and pantry features.
2. Information stored on your device
Depending on how you use Noreli, the app may store locally:
- Pantry profile: display name, optional pantry avatar image, weight unit, week-start preference — to personalize My Corner and pantry greetings.
- Fruit entries: name/type, storage place (Counter, Fridge, Fruit bowl, Paper bag), quantity, bought date, stage, peak window, confidence, favorites, reminders — to power Pantry, History, Fruit Dossier, and harvest cards.
- Media you add: fruit photos saved into Noreli’s on-device photo folder; optional voice notes for a fruit — for the ripeness workbench, dossier visuals, and personal eating plans.
- Settings: peak-window tips, spoilage banners, reduce-motion preference, terms acceptance flag — to control in-app pantry behavior.
- On-device analytics-style logs: local event markers such as successful orchard entry (if enabled in the build) — to improve reliability of the local experience; not sold as advertising profiles.
3. Permissions and sensors
- Camera — only when you choose to capture a fruit photo for ripeness estimation.
- Photo library — only when you pick a fruit photo or a pantry avatar from your library.
- Microphone — only when you record a voice note about when or how you plan to eat a fruit.
- App Tracking Transparency (advertising identifier) — optional. If you allow it, Noreli may use the
identifier to measure install attribution (for example via Adjust) and improve fruit pantry recommendations.
Allowing or denying this prompt does not block core pantry use: photo ripeness estimates, Manual Entry,
voice notes, reminders, and on-device pantry records remain available either way.
If you deny Camera, Photo Library, or Microphone, related features stay unavailable; Manual Entry and other
pantry tools can still work. Denying App Tracking Transparency does not limit those pantry features.
iOS system permission dialogs show Noreli’s fruit-focused usage strings.
4. On-device processing
Ripeness estimates use Noreli’s local rules (fruit type, storage adjustments, purchase timing, and optional
photo context). Nutrition figures shown as reference estimates (for example vitamin C or kcal per 100 g) come
from on-device reference data, not from a live food-lab API.
